[Master’s Project] I worked on the project entitled “Building Decision-Support Through Dynamic Workflow Systems, Academia and Industry Working Together for Better Healthcare“.  A major obstacle of the development of ontology driven applications is the poor capability of current techniques to handle very large ontologies. I developed a scalable reasoner for OWL 2 RL ontologies with large ABoxes.

[Summer Intern’2011] Worked on the project Ontology-Driven Document Management System at Palomino System Innovation Inc. as intern for the NSERC Industrial Postgraduate Scholarship(IPS). The goal of the project was the integration of ontologies into the existing web-based document management system that provide enhanced and precise semantic search facilities, reasoning and SPARQL end points for link data publications and queries.

[Summer Intern’2010] I worked on the project “Designing and Implementing HL7 CTS Integration Engine” at Palomino System Innovation Inc as industrial attachment for NSERC Industrial Postgraduate Scholarship(IPS).

[Bachelor’s Thesis] I did research on the detection of misbehaving routing nodes and mitigating routing misbehavior in MANET. I  proposed a trust based routing scheme to mitigate the misbehaving nodes, nodes does not forward the routing information properly, in Ad Hoc Networks.

[Undergrad Thesis Supervision] As a part of my teaching responsibilities, I supervised some undergrad research projects at the department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Chittagong.  Most of the topics are on Pervasive computing and Wireless Sensor Networking area.

I am working on the project entitled Building Decision-Support Through Dynamic Workflow Systems, Academia and Industry Working Together for Better Healthcare.  A major obstacle to the development of ontology driven healthcare application is the poor capability of current technique to handle very large ontologies. My current research focus is to build up an OWL persistence backend for workflow based decision-support system for healthcare.
